Retinol 0.5% Reduces skin photo-damage. Improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Improves firmness and elasticity of the skin. Improves skin texture and uneven skin tone. How to use
After cleansing and toning, apply 2 – 3 drops to cleansed face daily (in the evenings). Use alone or add to your moisturiser, serum or masque. Should only be introduced after being on the basic products for at least 4 weeks. Do not use on irritated skin. Mild tingling may occur. Must use with a broad spectrum SPF of at least 40. Can be applied under the eye area, avoiding the eye itself. Use directly after Micro needling treatment for deeper penetration of the actives in the booster. Retinol can cause sensitivity, it is wise to follow one of the below approaches to help your skin adjust to Retinol:
1. The Sandwiching Method: Applying moisturiser before retinol helps keep dryness at bay, and moisturising afterward help soothe and calm irritation.
2. The Build Up Method: Start slow. Use a pea-sized amount once or twice a week. As your skin adjusts, you can begin using it more frequently.
3. The Rinse-off Method – Apply retinol to moisturised skin and let it sit for 5 minutes. Then gently wash it off. Increase the amount time to 10 minutes, then 15, then 30, until skin can handle overnight application.
Do not use while on a Chemical peel treatment regimen, or while using Multi Active Lotion, products containing Benzoyl Peroxide or high concentrations of Alpha & Beta Hydroxy Acids.
